Timothy Spall (Mr. Turner) & Sarita Choudhury (Fallout) are wasted on this film.

Absolut subjektiv und sehr selektiv in der Betrachtung, meist die erwünschte Beurteilung von Beispielen vor deren Nennung oder Schau liefernd, wimmelt es von logischen Fehlern, etwa durch nicht erlaubte Umkehrung von Kontext und Absicht von Filme-Machern. Sehr deutlich wird dies bereits bei den ersten Ausschnitten, die u.a. eine Show für Vietnam-Soldaten aus Apokalypse Now quasi vorwurfsvoll anführt, weil da eine Frau zentral auf die erotische Wirkung ihrer Tanzvorführung reduziert wird; doch erstens ist das schlicht Fakt, diese Shows gab es immer wieder, und zweitens ist es natürlich Blödsinn, weil die Soldaten logischerweise alle männlich waren und die Tanzshow seitens des US-Militärs gerade diesem Zweck dienen sollte. An den in der "Dokumentation" aufgeführten Beispielen wird schnell klar, wie beliebig da eine Handvoll Filme und darin einzelne Szenen ausgesucht wurden - sie reichen von 1927 bis 2016. Absurd ist auch die gesamte Komposition mit der Autorin und Geld durch Vorträge erzielende Pseudo-Predigern, weil hier nur eine Reihe von Frauen zu Wort kommen, also weder Männer, noch mehr oder weniger angegriffene Autoren oder Regisseure, die ihre Beispiele wählen, die Deutung dazu liefern (mit zum Teil aberwitzigen Unterstellungen), um dann auch noch Richter darüber und mehr zu sein. Bei mehr als der Hälfte der Beispiele erkennt der Kino-Gänger rasch, dass eine andere Darstellung weder zeitlich, noch für den Sinn gemäß Erzählung möglich gewesen wäre. Wenn die Rolle auf einen egoistischen Macho zugeschnitten wurde, kann dies erstens keine Frau glaubhaft spielen und zweitens werden natürlich weibliche Figuren in diesem Film dadurch zu im weitestgehenden Sinne Opfer. "Brainwashed" ist KEINE Dokumentation, es ist ein übles Machwerk zur Eigenvermarktung!
